Globe Tab
The Globe tab in Tsunami Shield gives you a live, interactive 3D view of the world's seismic and tsunami activity. Significant earthquakes appear as colour-coded magnitude markers, and active tsunami warnings pulse with concentric rings so you can see at a glance exactly where threats are unfolding — updated automatically every 15 seconds.
What it does
- A live interactive globe shows significant earthquakes and active tsunami warnings in real time — refreshed every 15 seconds, no manual refresh needed.
- Red banner appears at top of Globe tab when a tsunami warning has been issued.
- The Globe shows colour-coded magnitude markers that give you an instant read on severity, with concentric rings marking active tsunami watches or warnings, so you know exactly where the threat is.
- Filter by event type — toggle between earthquakes, tsunami warnings, or both — so you see exactly what you need without visual clutter.
- Tap any marker to see the full event details including location, magnitude, depth, and time — without leaving the globe view.
- Puts global seismic activity in context — understanding what's happening across tectonic boundaries worldwide helps you make smarter decisions about where you are, where you're going and are loved ones safe.
