1. Who we are

Tsunami Shield is a mobile application that aggregates publicly available earthquake and tsunami alert data and delivers it to your device. The app is operated by Smart Send Australia Pty Ltd, trading as Grand Plan Enterprise. References to "we", "us" or "our" in this policy refer to Smart Send Australia Pty Ltd (trading as Grand Plan Enterprise).

2. What information we collect

We collect only what is necessary to provide the service:

  • Location data — your approximate GPS position and any locations you save in the app. This is used solely to determine which alerts and coverage regions are relevant to you. Location is not stored on our servers beyond what is required to deliver your alert preferences.
  • Notification and alert preferences — your choices about which alert types to receive (e.g. local critical alerts, nearby advisories, earthquake alerts). These are stored so your settings persist across sessions and devices.
  • Subscription status — whether you have an active subscription and which plan you are on. Payment processing is handled entirely by Apple App Store or Google Play; we do not receive or store your payment card details.
  • App usage data — basic crash and error reports to help us improve reliability. These do not contain personally identifiable information.

3. What we do not collect

We do not collect your name, email address, or any contact details as part of normal app use. We do not run advertising within the app and we do not build advertising profiles. We do not sell, rent or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

4. How we use your information

  • To deliver real-time earthquake and tsunami alerts relevant to your location and saved places.
  • To remember your alert preferences and coverage settings.
  • To verify your subscription status and unlock premium features.
  • To diagnose and fix technical problems with the app.

5. Third-party services

Tsunami Shield draws alert data from official public agencies including NOAA, USGS, GeoNet, GDACS, EMSC, JMA and BMKG. Your personal information is not shared with these agencies.

Subscription payments are processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play) in accordance with their respective privacy policies. We receive confirmation of subscription status only — no payment details.

Evacuation routing uses reputable professional mapping and elevation services. Requests include your GPS coordinates but no identifying information.

6. Data retention

Your preferences and subscription status are retained for as long as you have an active account or as required by applicable law. You may request deletion of your data at any time by emailing us at hello@grandplanenterprise.com or via the Contact Form.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete the personal data we hold about you. To exercise any of these rights, please email hello@grandplanenterprise.com or use the Contact Form on our site Tsunamishield.tech.

8. Children

Tsunami Shield is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Material changes will be notified in-app. Continued use of the app after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated policy. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page indicates when the policy was last revised.
